If you were wondering what is happening in the league of luxury sedans, you must actually hear about Toyota Prius. Surprisingly, it has been fitted with a solar power roof which would help save energy and save environment. This is very important in times of global warming when most of the pollution is caused by cars and emissions.
All you would need to do is spend 1,450 Pounds and you could convert your Toyota Prius into a solar powered efficient car that would not only look good but would also be an environment saver. I would say, it would have bee only good if all the luxury cars come with solar panels on the top of their roofs.

Considering the different constraints of this environment (lack of space, pollution…) his vehicle – CARAT – in accordance with today’s and tomorrow’s tendencies, offers an innovating architecture and concept.
Starting with an analysis of the inside of his vehicle, Alexeï notices an asymmetry in terms of space use, which will become the basis for the structure of his car, on the inside as on the outside. The cockpit’s asymmetry thus gives the impression that the car is more or less long according to the side one is looking at.This asymmetry can also be found in the way the doors open.

Volkswagen has launched a new website to give us an idea of the types of cars that will be on our streets in 2028. The core of the site is an interactive short film giving the viewers an informative and entertaining glimpse of the future. VW research developers and designers describe the three main concepts on show: the “one”, “ego” and “room”. This is the sporty two-seater ‘ego’. Press release below.

WOLFSBURG, Germany – When will vehicles communicate with traffic lights? Will there be traffic jams in the future? Can driving emission-free vehicles be fun? Automobile fans of all ages can find informative and entertaining answers to these and many other questions at www.Volkswagen2028.com.The Wolfsburg-based automaker presents its vision of the automotive world 20 years from now in this ground-breaking Webspecial. The lavishly designed website centers around a short interactive film which gives the viewer an informative and entertaining introduction to the subject. In the film, which takes place in 2028, a father tells his son about the automobile world of 20 years ago, while the present-day Internet user can select any of numerous links to take a look at the automotive future. Developers and designers from Volkswagen Research accompany users on their journey and explain the visions of tomorrow’s automotive world in simple language, providing fascinating insights into today’s technological approaches aimed at paving the way for a sustainable and innovative future. At the same time, these insights underscore the Volkswagen brand’s claim to already epitomize “Das Auto.” and the brand’s vision to be the world’s most innovative high-volume automaker.

Our designers and developers have created three innovative vehicle concepts exclusively for this Webspecial in order to illustrate the automotive world of tomorrow. We have called them ‘one’, ‘ego’, and ‘room.’ They give an idea of the shape that our visions of the future could take. They demonstrate how the cars of the future can communicate with traffic lights, how holographic displays in the cockpit can assist the driver and how we can generate even more driving pleasure and still keep our cars emission-free,” Jochen Sengpiehl, Head of Marketing, Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, explained

Aren’t all those fighter jets those sturdy pilots fly awesome?

Haven’t you ever wanted to be in one of those war planes? Well, if you can’t be in one of those planes, you might as well buy a car that looks like that. Tramontana Group has unveiled the Tramontana R Edition which is modeled on a jet plane. It comes with an awesome 760 horsepower and weighs 2,750 pounds. It also measures 16 foot and will reach 100mph in just 3.6 seconds. It also reaches 200mph in about 10 seconds. You could actually blaze the highway with a vehicle like this. It costs an awesome $495,000 and is well with the buy. Don’t hesitate thinking it is too expensive, just go ahead and get this awesome car for yourself!

Move Over Hybrid

Remember watching Back to the Future Part II, where they travel to 2015 (less than 8 years away) and the highways are in the sky? Back in 1989, this future seemed light years away and totally probable. Gotta love the movies! Now, Moller International is creating ‘flying saucer’ like cars that have eight engines which can run on petrol, diesel or even ethanol and fly 10ft. off the ground. With the skycar, rush hour is no longer an issue. Sound too good to be true — it probably is (for now.) You can get your own flying saucer in a few months for close to $1 million

Driving under water

sometimes become a reality and today we can boldly say this is true. Over the years in movies and cartoons we have seen lots of fantasies like a car diving under water and in some case flying. Such can be seen in one of James Bond 007 movie “The Spy Who Loved Me” where his car transformed into a scuba car when it dives underwater, then it was a fantasy but today it is a reality. A scuba car that operates both on land and underwater was produced in 2008. However, even though that has become a reality, it will not been seen on the streets or in the oceans any time soon because of its price tag. Furthermore, cartoon like the “The Jetsons and danger mouse” gives us insight of what the future holds in terms of their car operating terrestrially and aerially when the need arises. Conversely, through research and development that has become a reality and today we have the Terrafugia flying car. Terrafugia is both a car and a plane in one. It is the first flying automobile that can transform and take to the sky or remain on the road as car. It can further be described as a transition vehicle or road-able aircraft.

FLYING CAR

Thank God for the four little silver circles because otherwise not many people would believe us this is a car. Yes, it’s an Audi, but one like you have never seen before. It’s beyond what we’re used to calling a concept car. Audi has come up with a flying car. The futuristic vision appeals to all science fiction fans as it has no wheels but I’m not that sure that this concept will ever become a reality because it is not a practical car, it has no trunk and there’s hardly room for two people in there. But who even needs it to be practical after all; one can only dream of the freedom it would offer. Sure fact, I would take it for a spin!
